Hey Amanda and the rest of the bikers! Sounds like everything's been awesome so far. Reading the blog reminds me of the old game Oregon Trail, only minus the oxen, covered wagons and indian raids! Amanda, check out the comment I left on your blog entry :).

Amanda! Yeah I know I'm leaving another comment. It's really more for the rest of you guys too, but Amanda's my sis, but you guys are really inpsiring. Amanda I've gone for 3 miles walk/run/jogs twice this week plus working out and you know how I am and stuff, but just remembering what you and the boys are doing biking this whole journey is really inspiring me to start getting more fit. Amanda, I'm hiring you as my PT when you get home LOL. So thanks for being my inspiration!

Hi, Amanda, Doug, John, & Rick!! I hope your journeys continue to fine you safe & having the time of your lives, which, undoubtedly, you are. My name is Mary Ann, I met you briefly at The Paint Pots in Yellowstone. I will try & figure out how to post the great picture I took of you guys.

You may remember me a bit better from our brief chat about my bike trip around the world in 1998. I started in New Zealand (3 months, 1200 miles biked, kayaked the Abel Tasman, hiked the Milford Track & Routebourn, heli-hiked Franz Josef Glacier, ski plane to Mt. Cook, sky dived Lake Wanaka, jet boated Queensland), drove 3,000 + in Australia over 2 months, spent 10 days in a shwank hotel in Kowloon, Hong Kong, back on the bike in Amsterdam, rode 2 weeks through the Nederlands into Belgium, flew to Manchester, England, biked & hiked the Lakes, Hills, & Dales into Scotland, as far north as Inverness (detouring along the whisky trail), ferrying from Glasgow to Ireland for 3 months & 1,400 miles, ferrying to Wales for a ride through the country into England, finishing just outside of London some 10 months & 4,000 bike miles later.

Your collective energy was not only palpable, it was intense and intoxicating. I wanted to dust the cobwebs off of my Trek 1200 and join you guys. I am so excited for you having this opportunity. Thanks for the time you spent meeting with me. I look forward to following your blog & please don't hesitate to contact me for tips &/or assistance. AND, when in Jersey....look me up, I'm 10 minutes from the beach if you're looking to wet your wheels on the East Coast (Asbury Park / Long Branch area). Best of luck, be safe, ride strong, take great pictures, and may you continue to be blessed meeting great people in these wonderful United States!!!!! joyzgirl@gmail.com Mary Ann Melville

Hi Nick! Wow you truly have changed! I just checked out this site and I am amazed on how much you have changed. I love all pictures and it is wonderful to see how much you have grown and experienced (I am so jealous!) Well we all miss you here in VT and cannot wait for you to come home and chop wood. I truly miss our camp fire "alien" talks and our football games in the yard. Last campfire, Joe and Will decided to play cop and robber with me and I bet you can guess what I was! Yes, the robber and I was tackled to the ground and my hands were secured around my back and I took a mouthful of grass...good times...lol...BUT NEED YOU BACK! I hope your whole crew has a safe and thrilling remaining journey.

Love, Sara
